SATRAD 221/NGILYEP

        Radar is an object-detection system that uses radio waves to determine the range, altitude, direction, or speed of objects. It can be used to detectaircra ships, spacecraft , guided missiles, motor vehicles, weather formations and terrain.

            The type of radar used in radar unit of 221 Ngliyep is AWS2 radar. The radar has a range of AWS 2 transmit up to 180 NM.
